LEO Signs Strategic Partnership with Kunming Municipal Bureau of Commerce to Boost China–Laos–Thailand Trade Through Cross-Border Logistics and Economic Integration

LEO Global Logistics Public Company Limited (LEO), one of Thailand’s leading End-to-End Global Logistics Service Providers, together with its subsidiary LEO Sourcing & Supply Chain Co., Ltd., has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Kunming Municipal Bureau of Commerce. The signing took place during the China (Kunming)–Thailand Industrial Cooperation Seminar, jointly organized by the Kunming Commerce Bureau and the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce. This cooperation aims to develop cross-border import-export business between China, Laos, and Thailand through multimodal transportation and to promote more efficient economic and trade integration between Thailand and China.

The signing ceremony was honored by the presence of top officials, including the Secretary of the Communist Party of Kunming, the Deputy Mayor of Kunming, and board members of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Kettivit Sittisoontornwong, CEO of LEO Global Logistics PCL, stated: “LEO and our subsidiary LEO Sourcing & Supply Chain Co., Ltd. were the only two logistics and supply chain companies invited to sign this strategic cooperation with the Kunming Commerce Bureau. The goal is to jointly promote international import-export business between government and private enterprises in both countries and to support the development of cross-border logistics in Kunming and Yunnan Province. This partnership also aims to build a more structured and efficient economic and trade system between China and Thailand through China–Laos–Thailand multimodal transport.”

Mr. Kettivit emphasized that Kunming is recognized as China’s gateway to Southeast Asia and is actively promoting development under the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. The agreement capitalizes on the China–Laos Railway and Kunming’s strategic location and growing importance as a national logistics hub. The Kunming Bureau of Commerce also plans to grant Express Customs Service privileges to LEO for export shipments to China, facilitating smoother logistics management and enhancing bilateral trade.
